After immigrating to Australia from Scotland in 1966, Jack changed his career from engineering to the military serving in the Police Dog Section of the RAAF. During his service Jack had postings in every State of Australia with the exception of WA and Tasmania.
On resigning from the RAAF Jack then focused on sales working for such companies as 3M, Glaxo, Musashi and Bio-Organics in positions ranging from Sales Representative through to National Sales Manager. During this time Jack not only owned and operated a sheep farm and bred Quarter Horses over and above his selling career, he also taught and ran 3 Taekwondo schools having at one time over 150 students from White Belts to Black Belts. Jack is a 2nd Dan black belt in Taekwondo, 1st Dan in Karate and brown belt in Judo. These experiences made up a very colourful life to develop his unique training style. Jack sold his farm in 1986 and sought new challenges and a new direction.
Much of the personal development and sales training in those days seemed cumbersome and lacked the flow of natural communication. In 1987-88 Jack attended his 1st NLP training and so started a passion that has continued to this day with every indication of continuing. These NLP skills enhanced his selling techniques and opened up a new style of Selling. People Skills and Personal Interaction which created changes and greater lifestyle choices.
In 1995 Jack began serious NLP education and training with Peter Dawson of Integrated Learning. Over the years Jack has conducted training on Communication Skills, Selling Skills, Timeline and Presentation Skills with excellent reviews, results and feedback. In 2005 Jack completed a long overdue accreditation as an NLP Trainer under Peter Dawson.
Since 1995 Jack has held positions as Job Club Leader in guiding long term unemployed back to the workforce. He has taught at 2 private business colleges and now lectures at RMIT University in Marketing and related subjects. Not only were others challenged to make changes in their lives, so also was Jack which lead him to other studies where he gained his Master of Education (teaching), Diploma of Marketing and NLP Trainer Certification amongst others. From this background of learning and experiences evolved Future Shapers which specialises in training for corporate level, government and personal development.
